Environmental Policy

The company is committed to the effective management of environmental impacts associated with the manufacture and supply of products, materials and systems for protection against fire and high temperature with a view to continually improving environmental performance.
 
Environmental management forms an integral part of the company's business strategy and the company is committed to proactively:

  • conducting business in such a manner in that compliance with relevant current and anticipated environmental legislation is achieved
  • implementing and maintaining an Environmental Management System that conforms to the requirements of ISO 14001:latest edition
  • managing the activities of our operations in line with best practice to control the impact on our local communities through minimising the impact of dust, smoke, noise and traffic pollution
  • operating controlled waste management and disposal systems and where possible, maximise the recovery of process waste by recycling as a raw material input as far as it is financially viable and reasonably practicable
  • ensuring that our raw materials are sourced from responsibly managed and environmentally aware organisations
  • aiming to design our products to be as environmentally friendly as possible and seek to include recycled materials in both the product and packaging
  • setting environmental improvement objectives and targets that are monitored regularly to assess progress on environmental performance
  • raising the environmental awareness of all our employees in order that the benefits of meeting environmental objectives are understood and employees are committed to the prevention of pollution
  • minimising the environmental health and safety risks to our employees, customers and any other persons that could be affected by our products & operations.
  • ensuring all employees are made aware of and understand the policy and procedures through training and information. Compliance is confirmed as a result of formal internal audits and at management review, which is conducted at least once a year.

The policy is publically available to all interested parties and is reviewed periodically to take account of applicable local, statutory and ETEX Group requirements and changes in work activity.
