Blackburn

Promat Blackburn is a subsidiary of Promat International, part of the Etex Group of companies, a global organisation with over 12,000 employees and a presence in more than 34 countries.

Promat Blackburn manufactures a range of products which are sold exclusively through Promat Sales Organisations. Promat Blackburn products are used in construction, marine and off-shore applications as well as meeting the needs of the High Temperature Insulation (HTI) market.

The manufacturing facility of Promat UK is located in the former mill town of Blackburn, Lancashire. The site is 140 years old and has been responsible for manufacturing many different products over that time. Originally it was a cotton mill but began making fire resistant products during the 1960s. In 2002, Promat Fire Protection, as it was known then, formed part of the merger between Cape Services and Promat International, and it took the name Promat UK Ltd.

The site now manufactures the following products groups:

• Promat VICUBOND^®
• Promat DALFRATEX^®

Our products are part of the global Promat portfolio forming part of a complete range of market-leading systems for fire protection and High Temperature Insulation.
