History1970s
- Carlton in Lindrick site purpose built for Mandoval when production was moved from Lightwater, Surrey.
1998
- Cafco purchased Mandoval and took over the facility which at the time was manufacturing cement based spray materials as well as associated primers and topcoats.
2000
- CAFCO® 300 introduced, which is a gypsum plaster based lightweight spray for the fire protection of steel and concrete in internal environments. It was specifically engineered to compete with other lightweight products that were being introduced at this time.
2003
- Site further enhanced in order to manufacture SPRAYFILM® WB2 and later SPRAYFILM® WB3 water based intumescent coatings.
July 2007
- Promat acquires Cafco International along with 2 manufacturing sites in Alfreton and Carlton.
July 2009
- Promat moves all Cafco spray operations to Carlton.
- Promat invests in upgrading the factory plant which resulted in production in excess of 24 million kilograms of spray product per annum.
