Health & Safety Policy
The company is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all persons that could be affected by the manufacture and supply of products, materials and systems for protection against fire and high temperature with a view to continually improving safety performance.
Occupational Health & Safety management forms an integral part of the company's business strategy and the company is committed to proactively:
- implementing and maintaining an Occupational Health & Safety Management System that conforms to the requirements of OHSAS 18001:latest edition
- ensuring the health, safety and welfare of our employees, customers and any other persons that could foreseeably be harmed by our business activities, products and operations
- conducting business in such a manner that, as a minimum, ensures compliance with all applicable legal requirements and ETEX Group Policies
- setting objectives and targets that are monitored regularly to assess improvements in safety performance & prevention of injury and ill health
- raising the awareness of all our employees in order that the benefits of meeting Occupational Health & Safety objectives are understood
- assessing the risks associated with our work activities and implementing control measures to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable
- places of work are maintained in a safe condition
- working environments are safe and without risk to health
- work equipment and systems of work are safe and without risk to health
- adequate information, instruction, training and supervision are provided to ensure the safety of employees and others
- consulting with employees on safety matters via the Health & Safety Committee which reviews, prioritises and co-ordinates the implementation of significant recommendations arising from safety monitoring, employee consultation and risk assessment programmes to ensure continuous improvement in safety performance
- ensuring all employees are made aware of and understand the policy and procedures through training and information, compliance is confirmed as a result of formal internal audits and at management review, which is conducted at least once a year.
The policy is publically available to all interested parties and is reviewed periodically to take account of applicable local, statutory and ETEX Group requirements and changes in work activity.
